Rob Johnson

Rob Johnson is a longtime resident of The Woodlands, and is active in the community in a number of ways.  In 2018 he retired as Assistant General Counsel of Exxon Mobil Corporation.  During his 28-year career with Mobil and ExxonMobil, he held a variety of positions in Law.  Prior to joining Mobil in 1990, Rob was in the private practice of law in Washington, DC.  He is a graduate of The American University, with degrees in  Political Science and Economics.  He earned his law degree from Georgetown University.

 Rob’s volunteer activities in addition to Project Beacon include serving on the American University Alumni Board, including most recently as President.  He is a member of the Board of Interfaith of The Woodlands and The Interfaith Community Clinic.  He provides pro bono legal services to several nonprofit organizations, including Court Appointed Special Advocates of Montgomery County, Texas, and Mosaics of Mercy, a non-profit whose mission is to provide resources to assist those struggling with mental illness or substance abuse and has previously been active with The Boy Scouts of America. Rob was named a 2017 Hometown Hero by Interfaith of The Woodlands for his service to the community.

 Rob and his wife, Christine, live in The Woodlands.  They have two sons, who presently reside in Houston, Texas.
